Missing computer driver?

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook. To cut a long story short, I'm missing a non-plug and play driver. Because I'm missing this driver, my netbook can't connect to the internet. The driver I'm missing is a non plug and play driver called TCP/IP Protocol. I found the location of the driver in my i386 folder, and put it in my system32's driver folder, but that didn't do a thing. I guess in the end, how do I install this driver so I can connect to the internet? Anyone got any ideas?

Update:

Well, I am slightly mistaken when I said I was missing the TCP/IP protocol driver, I looked again and what I'm actually missing is the Netbios driver. Everything else is the same otherwise.

I figure that netbios is a standard driver and doesn't change much no matter if it's a laptop, netbook, or desktop so using the one from the i386 folder should be fine. As a precaution anyway, I tried downloading drivers for my network card anyways but it didn't work.

I would have done the other link suggested, but I really don't trust torrents.

Any other suggestions? A netbook that can't connect to the internet is little more than a paperweight....

Drivers stored in i386 are not always the best ones for laptops. Try downloading your network card drivers from the laptop's official site.
