Does playing with the Xbox 360 hurts the system?

The Xbox was meant to be played, that's the reason why you bought it.

No, I shouldn't imagine it would! Yes, over time it will probably wear out (hopefully many years down the line!) but that is the same as any other thing - nothing lasts forever, after all!

The Xbox is designed to play games on it. If you don't use it for playing games on, then you have a fairly expensive doorstop/ornament/bookend.

I hate to say this man but over time playing any game system "hurts it" its just a matter of time before the laser stops reading discs but id say a new xbox360 slim will last over a decade if taken care of properly before the laser even started to hint at it slowing down or whatever. Thats y u should get a harddrive and buy and download all yr games to it. Helps yr diskdrive last longer.

If you play it for hours on hours non stop yes it can over hear and freeze up and just basicly have a lil heart attack forcing you to get a new system!

Only if you play with its naughty bits too long,you will make it tender
