Which My Little Pony episode is a good one to start with?

I want to start watching MLP, so I'm looking for an exciting episode to get me interested before I start at the beginning. Is there an ongoing plot, or stand-alone episodes?

The one that I always start people off with is Sonic Rainboom. It's one of the best episodes that shows the characters of each pony and leaves you wanting more. If not that then you definitely want to start with the pilot, there's nothing better than watching a series in order and seeing how it progresses.

My first episode was the 2 part season 2 opener. I think it's a good episode, but you'd need to know the characters beforehand because I got a little confused. Try the 2 part first episode from season 1 and then from season 2, and watch the rest from there.

I would either start with the first episode of either season (Mare in the Moon or The Return of Harmony). I really like the episodes; The Cutie Mark Chronicles, Lesson Zero, and Hearth's Warming Eve. Glad to help!

Start with the pilot episode: "Friendship Is Magic - Part 1 (Mare in the Moon)".

    They are stand-alone episodes.

The pilot episode is exciting enough.

There isn't really any over reaching plot. Start at the start and watch them all.
