check out the site i posted in my sources, it is the customers reviews of what went wrong in any car. I use it before buying any car to know what to expect.
As far as I know the only problems are the rear air bags leak after a while causing the air compressor to fail. Its about a $500 fix if you change it with ford explorer springs instead of airbags.

Fuel consumption is higher for the Navigator than the comparable Expedition and the Expo is bad enough. Expect 10-11 MPG. As others have mentioned, the air suspension can be expensive. Other than that it will run 200-300k miles with no other major problems if it's been properly maintained. They're good vehicles but you will be buying gas.

assuming that the heater core is not clogged. it is more then likely that the actuator door is not working properly. it's located on the inside behind the dash near the passanger side or in the middle of console. turn radio and any noise thing off and turn the temp knob from hot to cold. and listen if you can hear the sounds of a flap closing. if you can't hear anything then either the motor is dead, or something broke and the door is not opening and closing like it should be.
