My best friend has shut me out for his girlfriend, words of comfort, this is killing me?

Well, my best friend and I have been close for a year, but he wants to get into a relationship and I am sick at heart because I feel like this whore has ''stolen'' him from me.

I am aching from the void of losing his closeness. I keep thinking of how we used to play music together, he used to go places with me, he was always an attentive and caring friend.

I can't stand that he spends all his time with her and says that she is more important than me. No one else is as special to me as he is. All I want is just to spend time alone with him and he has shut me out completely.

I have become depressed and can't eat or sleep because I am grieving the friendship we had. My heart is broken because we can never be close or share time together again and I feel like he's abandoned me.

I need words of comfort about these things:

He says she is more important to him and I can't stand that he feels that way. I need to be number one girl in his life.

We used to spend time together and now he has shut me out, and I am broken and longing for our friendship.

It's unfair that he is putting her first, because she ''stole'' him from me! I was in his life first, I was close to him first, and when she popped up he shut me out for her.

I want to be put first and be cherished and loved, not shut out in the cold.

Please, please comfort me, this is killng me. Only if you have something comforting to say, a way I can be number one in his life. I just want to spend time alone, no girlfriends allowed with him and he doesn't care about me anymore.
