Why does staying at home with my wonderful daughter depress me?

I have always worked full time, with my job after two years I could go to school and not work and still get a check (which is an amazing deal and i'm so blessed to be able to go to school) and I get my time out of school like for christmas and thanksgiving off as well so I've now been a stay at home mom for about a month because i don't have school and i don't have work.My drive is gone all i want to do is cuddle with my baby, we either spend the day in bed or i curl up the the lazy-boy and watch her play in the living room. I have no motivation to cook or clean (not that my house is really dirty but my clothes are piling up) I am wondering if this is depression and if there is anything i can do?

Update:

I usually love to clean, and my mom kept my daughter today so i could clean without distraction (she knows my house is always spot less and it is kinda messy now so its on my nerves) I got NOTHING DONE I laid in bed until I went to get my daughter after her nap! thats why i say its depression

Why would you think that is depression? You would rather spend time with your daughter than clean. Sounds perfectly normal.

It sounds to me like you're just in a funk because your routine is out of whack. I sort of know where you're coming from, I work full time but for the last few weeks I have been taking a lot of vacation time because my daughter's usual week day sitter had a baby. It's been so awesome having so much time with my girl, but I've had to keep myself busy so that I won't fall into the depressed, unmotivated state you describe. For every extra day off I've made lists of chores and projects and outings to take my girl on so that there's not much time sitting around twiddling my thumbs. I'm just one of those people that needs to be busy and productive otherwise I feel crappy.

If lacking motivation to clean means you are depressed then I'd be suicidal by now.

When I am off from work I enjoy just hanging out with my kids most of all-you can wash the clothes anytime but kids are only small for so long.

If you feel sad or hopeless, then get help but honestly it doesn't sound like a problem to me.
