My two year old sweet female lab is hating our cat....all of a sudden?
The poor cat can't even come downstairs without her growling, snarling, and chasing. They have always gotten along, but now suddenly; the dog is being very mean. Wondering why, and how to convince the dog that the cat gets to live here too

Cat and dogs know eachother by their smell. your cat might have an different sent that usual because of furniture, the outdoors, or maybe she hasnt licked herself in a while. (when they lick themselfs they get their regular smell)
