Is a cylinder head the same as an engine head?

If they are the same then most 4 cylinder cars have one cylinder head and 6 or 8 cylinder cars have 2 cylinder heads?

    in an inline engine such as a 2,3,4,5,6,8 cylinder engines, a single head. on a v block such as a 6,8 10 and a 12, 2 heads.

    VW makes a V6 with only ONE cylinder head. The engine block looks like a six pack of beer that has been forced into a zig zag pattern.

    you are correct but some 6 cylinders do have 1 head.For instance a "straight six" has one cylinder head

    You are not correct! There are six cylinder diesel engines which have three cylinder heads. Four cylinder gasoline and diesel engines have two cylinder heads.
