Any ideas on what kind of dog my Max is?

I adopted this guy from a rescue a few months ago, I was told he's a border collie mix but I'm curious about what else he might be mixed with. He's super gentle with children but playful with people his own size. He weighs 60 pounds right now but looks like he weighs more from all the hair. He's currently about 9-10 months old and I got him at about 6 months old. Some of these pictures are from when he was younger, the last picture is actually the picture that was on his petfinder before I adopted him. My sister suggested maybe he has some great pyrenees because he has six back toes on each foot?

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

Update:

Lol, I'm sure he's not purebred anything. I'm just curious~. Koolies are beautiful dogs though, I've never heard of them before.

Your sister might be right; Pyrs have double dewclaws on the rear legs. Border Collie x Great Pyrenees actually happens a lot: owners of sheep and goat herds often have both breeds, one to handle the flocks and one to guard them.

i understand precisely what you have long gone by way of. i attempted sturdy Gold, wellness, Canidae and another holistic meals. I had the comparable issues. Even somewhat worse because of the fact my Lab lost 10 pounds in a month on sturdy Gold. He did no longer would desire to loose weight. I easily have 9 canines and that all of them had the comparable issues. I even have been given dried coats, no shine and ear infections. i in my opinion tried to alter to a greater advantageous meals. It did no longer artwork. so which you recognize what I did? I went back to SD. Yep, solid ole packed with crap SD. I easily have familiar stools, bright coats, no ear infections and suitable weight. So, in the previous all you human beings accessible slam me, i attempted! those meals did no longer artwork and that i gave it my terrific shot. i'm no longer able to permit you recognize what to feed your canines. All i understand is what works for me.

huh... i am stumped. maybe labrador. I disagree with "pitbull" as he is too lean, head too thin, and muzzle too long. I would have to feel his fur and watch him walk to get a better idea. But he is definitely either Border Collie or Australian Shepherd mixed!

Source(s): I can by the pixels and dogs I have seen in my times! No but really my family used to go to dog shows a lot when I was younger and I became a dog geek.
