Weightlifting Diet Question?

Guess I'll start with this:

I'm 5'9" and I weigh about 160 now, but I'd like to get to around 175. I've always been lean, but I'd like to gain some weight while still having that lean look. My biggest question is about my diet, and if it will help me gain lean mass, or will it just make me lose more weight?

Recently I started a new diet, here's an outline of pretty much everyday.

*I usually go to the gym either before or after lunch*

Breakfast: 2 eggs, either toast, oatmeal, or Koshi go lean cereal.

Snack: Smoothie, or yogurt with nuts.

Lunch: Some type of meat (usually chicken) with rice, or baked potato. Sometimes a salad.

Snack: Protein Shake (whey protein) and nuts/some type of veggies

Dinner: Some type of meat with a salad and/or veggies.

I probably drink about 94 oz. of water a day (three of my water bottle) and really don't drink anything else except for the smoothie or the protein shake. I try to keep each meal around the same time during the day. I also try to eat dinner before 7 or 8 and won't eat until breakfast.

My main questions are:

1.) Will I end up losing weight with this amount of food, or will I still be able to gain lean muscle?

2.) Should I add another whey protein shake before I go to the gym (maybe during the first snack)?

3.) I try to keep my dinner low on carbs. Is this good, or does it not make that big of a difference.

If you know any other ways I could gain some weight and lean muscle please let me know!

Thanks.

Your diet seems very healthy and shouldn't be a problem as long as your getting enough calories. To gain muscle mass you need to eat a surplus of calories so that your body has something to build the new muscle out of. Your getting a lot of protein in which should also help. So as long as your eating enough and weight lifting you should get there no problem

Ull get there but slowly. Maybe throw in another protein shake and start taking creatine and it will help a lot
