Really simple question - just feel like asking?
If (some) christians believe that end times are coming and that it was all predicted in the text of the bible, why would that text not predict anything more specific about the time that we are living in now?
I mean, if people were really prophetic, surely to give a better clue of when this would happen they would give an indication of the sorts of developments that make up that time (for example, explicit descriptions of cars, computers, the internet etc etc), so that people would have better knowledge of when they were refefrring to and could see that they were correct and not just making open ended statements that could mean anything.
Oh wait....could it be that it's all nonsense? Hmmm

There are specific predictions. The End Times began when Jesus Christ died on the Cross and brought a new Covenant in His blood.
All of Christ's crucifixion details are mentioned in a couple of books - Isa and Psalms, right down to the soldiers casting lots for Jesus Christ's garment. There are also many more very specific predictions, which unbelievers or non-Christians would never find in the Bible since they never read it.
Jesus specifically told us that NOBODY will know the day or the hour of His return, not even the angels, but only His Father in heaven, so if anyone gives you a specific date, they are liars or else deceived because Jesus is coming without warning, suddenly, like a thief in the night.
No, it's not all nonsense. You will find out one day that God and Jesus Christ only spoke truth. I only hope it won't be too late for you to be saved. We are all told to be ready

The Bible's description of the "End Times" is absolute nonsense and has nothing to do with the reality we live in. It's a bunch of crazy demons and angels and monsters and crazy scenarios having to do with numerological patterns that would never happen in the real world.

The end times came and went in 70 AD... Were there cars, computers, internet etc in 70 AD?

keep it open ended and you can always make the prediction fit the incident...for the end of the world you got to keep it vague to keep the suspense going and be able to make the excuses as to why it didn`t happen (yet)

well....the prophecies of the bible are not those that deal with stuff.....men have...like cars, computers and the internet. they deal with mens hearts...and everything that was said is happening,
people will become vain and rebellious and chose false gods and live lives that are selfish and transparent....
your "really simple question" is a really simple clue for you to know God...He desires you know Him...He desires you....that's plain and really simple...

If an exponent is in the denominator, it has the adverse value of what it may be in the numerator. for this reason 9.2*10^-3 / 6.3*10^6 is the comparable as 9.2*10^(-3-6) / 6.3 that would properly be simplified to 9.2*10^-9 / 6.3 it truly is likewise the comparable as (9.2/6.3) * 10^-9 so your answer is one million.5 * 10^-9.

The prophecies are quite specific, but like puzzles, require some work to put them together.

It's like mediums. If they were real there would be specific detail, like a news report of the future.
Just goes to show it's all barmy old cak.
