How do I abook a megabus ticket from York to Edinburgh?
On the megabus.com webpage I can put in York as where I am leaving from but in the travelling to box it only has East Midland Parkway, London and Silverstone but I want to get to Edinburgh. How can I find cheap buses to Edinburgh and back using megabus. I haven't used megabus before so I'm rather confused - can anyone who has used them before offer me any advice.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, there isn't a Megabus from York to Edinburgh. You could take the Megabus from York to London and then to Edinburgh, but that's quite a long journey. It's 4.5 hours from York to London and 9 hours from London to Edinburgh. However, you can get the York-London ticket from only £1 and the London-Edinburgh ticket from £10, so it's very cheap. In 13.5 hours, you could fly to China, so it's obviously a very long trip for going such a short distance!
If you took a National Express coach (see NationalExpress.com), it takes 6 hours 15 minutes for around £35. That's a direct journey from York to Edinburgh
Probably the easiest way to get there is by train, as it's cheaper than a National Express coach and it's much quicker. The train is direct and only takes 2.5 hours. Fares will vary, but if you book far enough in advance, a single ticket is from £21.50-£26.50. You can book tickets at nationalrail.co.uk (train fares are the same on all sites, so no need to shop around for the cheapest price). The train is about £10-£15 more than the Megabus, but it takes 11 hours less.
If you plan to travel by rail more than 3 times this year, buying a Railcard will be worth it, as you get very discounted fares. See http://goo.gl/lAATt for railcard info.
Hope that helps you!

Megabus only operate on certain routes, so York/Edinburgh is not an option. The only option I can suggest is to put Edinburgh as the place you are travelling from to find out where the closest stop is to where you are and then book the trip from there to Edinburgh. I had a quick look to see if two tickets were an option, but the only way of doing it is to do York to London and then London to Edinburgh, which would be a very long journey heading initially to the wrong end of the country.

particular. Your connections are coated on the grounds which you have left greater advantageous than the minimum connection time at York. You do could take the subsequent attainable prepare although (concern on your fee tag regulations, eg XC basically fee tag would not be valid on EC) if your prepare is previous due attempt and get the prepare supervisor/fee tag inspector/member of team to word on your fee tag that your first prepare ran previous due - this is not any longer needed yet could shop you it sluggish explaining to the shield on the 2nd prepare which you're no longer on the play around.
