You cannot be truly religious and believe in evolution... evolution is the logical (practically proven) theory that humans evolved and the world has existed for millions or even billions of years. Religious people illogically think that God created people and that we did not evolve. They also think that God created the earth a mere thousands of years ago. I don't mean to offend anyone...this is just my opinion, hope this helps!:)

Religion is not a belief - it is a theory. The religious think it is a sheer toss up between believing in God and believing in religion - the former happens via FAITH - the latter is a theory and arrives through EVIDENCE - it is not a matter of personal opinion - evolution exists regardless of what anyone believes.
Those who think God started the BB or created evolution - are just not hard liners - and have yet to swallow the whole set of facts that there is no God.
God could not have started the BB - it needs NO prime mover - and moreover - you'd have to ask WHO MADE GOD?
Evolution functions and arrives without any help from a prime mover regardless of what ignorant opinions happen to exist - the facts are the facts.

Many religious folk do believe in evolution. Many fundamentalists and fanatics, on the other hand, don't believe in evolution. There is a difference between these two camps, you know? Religious folk shouldn't be confused with biblical literalists.

Religious people or religious fanatics? There is a difference.
Most religious people accept that evolution is a fact, even the usually demented Vatican accepts evolution.

Yes, some religious people beleive in Evolution. They also beleive that God triggered the big bang. They beleive that in the bible where it says the World was created it 7 days, they beleive that this is just hypothetical and that it was actually created longer then that and people evolved from monkeys and everyone started as a single celled organism and so on. I am religious but I dont beleive in Evolution as I find it impossible that such complicated and clever individuals like us could have evolved from a single celled organisim, but thats just my opinion.
Anyhow, God bless and I hope one day you will realise that with Religion comes hope, faith and peace.

Sure. There are many religious people in science, who don't deny the evidence for the theory of evolution.
PS: Evolution itself is fact.

The most direct answer to your question is No religious fanatics do not believe
in evolution.
Most Theists (including myself) believe that a creator set things in motion
for evolution to happen.
