I found a lump...Don't know what it is?

This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm kinda worried anyway...

I found this hard lump on my arm. It's under the skin, obviously. It's on my bicep muscle (I think). I'm sure it's never been there before and I've just noticed it the other day. And it's pretty hard. It's about a cm in diameter. You can't really see it or where it is, but when I touch it, it's obvious it's there.

I'm a little worried it could be one of those cancer things that people get. But there's no mole or anything on top of it, just a lump. it doesn't hurt, but I'm still worried because it just randomly appeared.

I don't wanna go to the doctor about it, because I don't wanna bother them if it's nothing and waste their time.

Is there anything else it could be? Does it sound serious, or should I just forget about it?

It's not a flea bite or anything, because it doesn't itch and there's no spot above the skin.

And I go boxing a lot and have been lifting weights a lot more often than I used to, so could it just be to do with that?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thank you!

Update:

Thanks for the help:) I'm less worried now I know what it probably is!

And ahahaha, thanks for that "Robbo" :') Ain't laughed so hard in ages.

Yes, there's a chance it's a cyst, but there is still that chance it is something worse.

Cancer doesn't always come with a warning, or an obvious symptom. Not everyone has moles, and more often than not it's the discovery of a lump that is the first warning. I am being serious here; don't just shake it off, thinking 'ahh those professionals on yahoo answers are obviously right, even though they haven't examined me, or whatever...'. Even a highly skilled and qualified Doctor would not be able to give you a definite answer over the internet.

Go and see your Doctor. Not, it is not wasting their time. Time wasters are usually the drunk ones, or the people who are severe hypochondriacs. They will examine you, and probably send you in for an ultrasound. Only then will they know if it's benign or cancerous. And even if it turns out to be a cyst, it could still be dangerous in the long run, and would have to be removed.

Honestly? It's better to be safe than sorry, believe me.

    Get thee to the doctor.

Sorry bud, but it's the only way to know for sure. I've experienced similar situations and learned it was nothing to worry about, but until you've been checked out by a medical professional you don't know.

Btw, my money is that it is a sebaceous cyst which is nothing to worry about, unless and until it gets infected.

I don't think you should worry, could be a simple cyst, you should see the doctor if it starts to grow though.
