LG HDTV 37LB2DR problem. Power board help?
It takes a while to turn on, blinking for 10 seconds until the backlight kicks in and it depends when the final picture kicks in and depends when the final picture kicks in (anywhere from 2-10 minutes) and then after about an hour it turns off and I cant turn it back on for a day. I'm pretty sure its the power board, and I've already bought another TV but I took the broken one apart yesterday just to see what's wrong, maybe I can use it as another monitor :). There are no problems with the capacitors as I checked the power flow and they were normal. Maybe the capacitors lose power over time? Overheating? How can I fix this?

first a technical note,,,,,,when a capacitor charges to a voltage and discharges to a load....it takes a time....if the capacitance is reduced....the time goes up for reaching that voltage.
electrolytic capacitors are WET type...they will be dried on hot places...............
after this story.....find an electrolytic capacitor near hot elements......heat sinks...high power diodes.
capacitors may be checked with a CAPACITANCE METER.if you have no this.instrument....you may use an analog OHMMETER and compare charge deflection with a new one on meter......new one deflects more......
the power supply is switching mode......on secondary of switching transformer there are many taps each connected to a diode and electrolytic capacitor...........
warning....electrolytic capacitors have polarity (+ - ) and working voltage W V........
pay attention ..not to use reverse polarity or low W V so it explodes as BOMB !
