How do I get rid of win32 malware-gen?
Last night I got a virus where my Avast notices that 8 temporary files have the same virus (Win32 Malware-gen) and it's more annoying than threatening, as it takes a while for this to stop (five-ten minutes tops) but once it does, nothing really is different. I've ran Malwarebytes a few times and one time it removed two infected files only for it to start over again. Tried system restore but surprise, it comes back.So how do I get rid of this?

you could try going back further in your restore points....
if it is still there after you have restored to a ppoint you feel you think it started I am thinking its not a virus but a trojin. If it hasnt been found by viral scanners and they are unable to remove it there are two things you can do.
Try and find the file itself as the temps are being created by it.
spybot may indentify the brouser helper object by file name.
then you have to remove it in dos and then remove the regestry entries.
finding the name of the file it self may require a hex editor to look at suspected files to see if they containe the name of the refrance from the antivirus scanners and such.
Time consuming but if you are able to find the files then do not delete them right away copy them to a zip file and send them to Security essentials or another antivirus supplier so they can instace them it may be new.
or
Clean boot your system to factory restore or an Image file
