corruption has to do with manipulation and to manipulate you need to use the mind to trick people, by looking trustworthy and someone you would want to talk to , they become someone you get feedback from , someone whom would eventually corrupt you with their own thinking.

a person who looks debonair when eyes settle on him one finds what he is a leech.
