I like snow and pizza and spaghetti. If I am grumpy, I watch tv. If I am happy, I go on a walk. If someone's nice to me, I give them a book. But if someone's loud, I say, "Please don't talk."
Tricky & Fun Riddle!?
Sammy the Slug likes to nibble on tasty green leaves. However he has a rare digestive disorder that only allows him to consume leaves from dandelion & tulip plants. Luckily for Sammy, on one side of the sidewalk that he lives by there are 5 dandelion plants & on the other side there are 7 tulip plants. Each dandelion plant has exactly 14 leaves and each tulip plant has 6 leaves. Once Sammy has arrived at a plant it only takes him 8 minutes to consume an entire leaf.
Now Sammy likes to vary his diet so he switches from dandelions to tulips after finishing off an entire plant. However, this means that he must make the treacherous 30 minute trip across the sidewalk in order to do so. Right now it's 3:20pm and there's only 4 & 1/4 hours left of sunlight. Sammy has a big appetite and doesn't stop eating until sunset. How many dandelion & tulip leaves will Sammy eat from now until darkness?
The winning answer gets a secret handshake and a big "hoorah!"

3 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoVery Fun but Long Riddle...?
Peter the Pilgrim is hosting a Thanksgiving feast next Tuesday with all 12 of his relatives. Seven of the relatives are girls and 5 of them are boys, not including Peter himself. Peter is also thinking of inviting 4 of his Native American buddies to the feast but he's not sure if they can attend it. Three of the Native Americans are girls and 1 is a boy. At the feast this year, Peter will be serving corn, mashed potatoes, yams & turkey. At his feast last year, 25% of the girls that attended the party ate 1 ear of corn, 50% of the girls ate 2 ears of corn and 25% chowed down on 3 ears of corn. As for the boys, 40% ate 2 ears of corn and 60% ate 3 ears of corn.
Back in April, Peter planted 13 rows of corn alongside of 4 rows of green beans. Each row of corn had 11 corn plants and each corn plant produces 3 ears of corn. At the harvest, 15% of Peter's crop is unusable because it rots, 20% of the yearly harvest goes to feed his pet cow Linden, and 5% of the crop gets eaten by wild squirrels. Assuming that the same eating percentages continue to this year's feast and that only his Native American girl buddies attend in addition to his relatives, will Peter have enough corn to feed his guests?
The first correct answer gets a special handshake and a "job well done!"

1 AnswerWords & Wordplay1 decade agoDoes anyone know the exact starting or ending points of the 2008 Tour de France stages?
I know what cities it will be in, but I need an exact point such as an address or a specific landmark. Please provide info for as many of the different starting or ending points as you can find. A general link is no good since I need a street address. And please don't respond if you aren't sure of an exact point. Thanks!

Cyndi's Maine Coon cat Truffles, had 16 adorable kittens. 6 of the kittens were brown with white spots. 4 of the kittens were gray with brown spots. 5 of the kittens were white with gray spots. 1 kitten was all white. It was a real melting pot of colors. If every cat with brown colors has a kitten every 6 weeks with another cat that has black stripes (the dominant color) and each resulting kitten generation continues to breed in the same manner, how many cats will have brown variations in 16 months? I know this is tricky but it has a real answer. Be the first to answer correctly and get chosen as best answer!!!
