Can I use the wrong kind of ink in my printer?

I accidentally bought CL-51 ink for my printer instead of CL-41 ink. It is the right brand, just the wrong number. Can I use the wrong ink or should I just return it??

    the difference is that the CL-51 has more ink in it...

    it should work but here is a list i found of printers that are known to work with a CL-51

    It probably won't fit anyway so return it and get the right one
