Is 1740 on the SAT ok?

I didnt study, I didnt even think about the test before I took it.

I took that test 2 or 3 years ago. Now I regret not caring because I want to be in league with students at a good university. (I'm smart but I was a hopeless underachiever for most of my life). I mean I get straight A's in community college....but that doesn't make me feel better about my academic past.

Bleh. I dont think the SAT score matters now that I'm exiting a junior college...but I'm still feeling a little worthless because of my previous grades.

I'm pretty much in the exact same category as you: underachiever but smart, wants to get into a good college. The big difference of course is that I'm still a high school freshman.

As far as I can tell, 1740 is a good score. I took the practice SAT last year so we checked what scores you need to get into the top colleges, and I know you can get into the top 20 colleges in the U.S. with yours. If you want more info Google it.

The grades may be a problem but if you can prove you're smart enough and hard working enough, you can get into wherever you want.

The average total score is approximately 1,538 points. so you got above average! you did great!!! some people study and do worse
