I am on birth control and have been getting my period for two weeks a month the past few months?

I was wondering why this could be or if there is a way that I could shorten my period or prevent this from happening in the future

I had the same problem with my birth control.

One time I had my period for a whole month, on the 31st day I went to my doctor and they prescribed me a different birth control to thin my uterus. I was on it for 2 months and my period regulated. Afterwards I went back to my old birth control and it hasn't happened again.

I would go to your doctor and see if there's some other birth control you can take or medicine to help reduce your periods. Maybe your birth control just isn't for you, I would definitely ask.
