sixteenth birthday party need ANY opinions you have!?
So, I'm having a sweet sixteen with my best friend Dean. I absolutely love him to death & can't wait (: ! We've found a few available venues; a country club, ballroom, party house, and a really nice open house on the beach. The only thing holding me back from the beach house is that I wanted to have our party on New Year's Eve (lol of next year, don't worry) & I didn't know about the weather. Would it still be a pretty view? I don't know I'm just asking for whatever advice you guys have! I also didn't know if we should have a theme or not? I like a masquerade but didn't know if that was too... Also, what should the dress be? Semi formal? Formal? Casual? Whatever ideas & opinions you have please I would LOVE to hear them (: Also, like 200-300 guests? Bigger or smaller crowd? & entertainment & food? What do you remember about the awesome parties you've had or been to? Need help!
oh & also i am NOT spoiled. i admit i USED to be but we've worked our asses off & are paying for the party ourselves. so thanks.

My opinion: way too many people. You won't be able to control that many people with any reasonable rules. You probably won't even know half of the people who show up (Because people always bring friends...)
Ballroom: Formal
Country club/ beach: Semi formal
Party house: Casual
Book a band or a dj. DJ if dancing is going to be your main thing. Band if you want to be able to hear either talk.
Food: Chips, pizza, burgers, lots of water, soda, hot dogs, pretzels, cupcakes.
