heat sink not covering all of cpu?
I installed a COOLER MASTER Hyper TX3 cpu fan and around the edges a little bit of the cpu isn't covered by the heatsink. It's AM2+ socket (yea kind of old but it runs alright) it has a heat plate covering the cores so it should be ok right?

Yeah your fine, they're compatible and my friends desktop CPU heatsink also doesnt not completely cover his cpu. Just make sure its not running to hot.

Your heat sync says its compatible with your socket type so it should be fine.
You can double check by monitoring your temperatures, keep it below 55C.
If you don't know any programs to monitor your temperature try speedfan, its very simple.
