Any chance I could get this part?
Hi, I really want the part of Liesl in the sound of music so badly!!! And I think I have a really good chance of getting it but I want some more opinions. Here are my reasons.
1. They want to do the stair step thing where they go from tallest to shortest and I am 5'9"
2. I am actually Austrian
3. her part is right in my "money" range.
4. I know a few other people trying out and none of them are very good singers.
But here are the bad things
1. I am a soprano and Liesl is a mezzo (i think)
2. I have a lot of experience just not a whole lot of professional experience
3. I don't know anyone at the theatre company.
Do I have a chance?

When considering roles, directors think of many things. How you play the part, how you look, and if there is any competition for the role. Not knowing anyone at the theatre company shouldn't matter! You sound qualified and if you feel the audition went well, I'm sure you'll get the part! :) follow me on twitter! http://twitter.com/JamilaVelinor

If you have auditioned, you'll find out soon enough.
The waiting stage is the hardest.
Ultimately whether you get the part or not is outside of your control.
As long as you went into the audition and did all that you could, you gave yourself the best chance.
All the best :)
