To achieve freedom and self-determination, mankind must lay waste to all institutions. Agree or disagree? Why?

Update:

@Josh Alfred:

An institution would be any kind of social construct or establishment, such as schools, as you've yourself mentioned, but also law enforcement, religions, and even private property - morality could also be considered an institution.

    What is an institution, give examples? I think in the future we will realize the value of learning from the schools over the internet, and will all be educated via computer teachers and computer tests, but till we have that capability there will be some that go to community college and some that attend Harvard, making schools the origin for class inequality.

    No, I believe there are systems in place for are protection, such as prisons, but I do think we can update prison quality. I have seen some innovation in prisoners, we people are taught how to act in there own benefit and not harm themselves or break the laws. I do think all drugs should be legalized, and that to balance it out we should have rehab faciliaties for people that struggle with addiction. As libertarian I vote in that direction, but with the clown show that has been made of politics I can't see these updates taking place any time soon, unless we all protest to free ourselves from these establishments, which we can do. It will take time to have greater freedom, but eventually I think majority will both realize and actual greater self-determination and freedom from institution.

    I would suggest that you look into Jacque Fresco, a social engineer with a revolutionary vision for our culture. I think his views will become reality in under 200 years, but why wait, advocate and protest these social changes yourself, and impact that progress of civilization as much as you can.

    That is something I have invested my life into doing, and I know the small impacts that I have upon peoples life with my liberal thinking may make change come that much quicker for our species. :)

    Agree. The religions, the medical, financial and educational systems, of our time, must be revamped in their entirety.

    Every major player has their hand in the governing agents pot, and nobody has the freedom to make changes on a mass scale for as long as the current flow of money, power, and media remain as they are.

    I agree thomas mores question to his son in law was after you have got rid of all the laws which law will you use to defend yourself even so I believe there is no such a thing as freedom I am sure you are not talking about returning to nature with its tooth and claw concept

    The only thing that will cause any change, good or bad is if we are all in agreement or disagreement.

    This question logically defeats itself. Freedom is a socially constructed idea. Therefore, one can not be free from socially constructions if their goal is ultimate liberty.

    Disagree. The institutions are not here because of the best and most intelligent of us. Humankind has not reached the level, they need no rules. On the contrary, in certain places humankind is lower than some animals.

    Idea of humankind being so intelligent it doesn't need an iron hand to prevent it from destroying itself is a beautiful one. Nobody reading this text will not live to see that happening.

    Agree. People are afraid to leave the idea of order alone.
