You don't. You just tell her that you're not interested in anything more than a friendship. Then leave her alone.

If you don't like that she has a kid, then you should probably just give up because she isn't going to get rid of her child just for you. There are plenty of other women out in the world that don't have kids so go for one of them instead.

Maybe you should let her know that you aren't ready for that type of commitment? Say you aren't ready to/interested in having a child in the mix.

Why does it bother you? Because you don't want the potential responsibility or because it belongs to another man? I guess thats more important, but be honest and say you aren't ready for that kind of relationship
