Syncing iPod Touch to new laptop?

I got a new laptop (HP) a few months back and only just now added iTunes to it because I got gift cards for iTunes for Christmas. I don't know how to sync all my old songs to it though without losing them, and I can't add new songs until I "change" libraries so my iPod is storing stuff on my new laptop. Any advice please on how to get all my songs and apps transferred over without losing any of it?

Thanks for answers, and if that doesn't make sense above, let me rephrase:

Got an iPod Touch last year, got it set up and all to my old laptop.

Got a new laptop a few months ago and just now put iTunes on it so I can use my gift cards to get new songs.

iTunes wants to change "libraries" but says it has to erase my old songs and such to do so. How do I make it NOT erase my stuff?

Update:

I can't get back onto my old laptop. I might have, um....spilt coffee all over it and messed it up xD When we backed up everything off it onto one of those mini hardrive things, we did my iTunes on it as well. It's on my new laptop, so can I use it to put my old music into the new library after it redoes stuff? And how would I do that?

If you like music you must use Spotify on your pc and mobile phone! A must have program for music lovers. Here is a good download link: http://j.mp/1pjXuPV

With spotify you have access to millions of songs... and you don't even have to download them!

ok try this, go back to your old laptop and get all your songs into a usb drive, ok this will be your back up just in case your songs on your ipod gets deleted, chances are they will.

with that you can transfer the songs from the usb to your library to your itunes. that way u can make a new account and have the songs.

on the itunes website it gives serveral ways, all of them pretty difficult. besides those ways, you cant. ipod touches cant be used to transfer songs, only shuffles and nanos can :( you could maybe try to put the songs on a jump drive?
