How to enable autocorrect on Samsung Galaxy S2?

So I recently got a Samsung galaxy s2, and im desperate to enable the autocorrect feature, assuming the phone has it

Ive gone through every setting and I cant find it!

Anyone know how to enable it?

Update:

I have all the t9 options ticked that i want, but they dont seem to be taking effect :S

    Not sure which variant you are using but...

    Open: Settings -- Language and Keyboard -- Samsung keypad

    Turn on XT9 and select XT9 advanced settingss for more options (like Word Completion, Auto-append and Auto-substitution)

    Is your phone rooted? This is a known issue I've heard about. If you're not rooted, are you sure that you have the Samsung keyboard selected as default or are you using another KB?

    u gotta choose English language for your keyboard at the bottom left
