If I am still in pain the third week after my Lupron Shot will my doctor give me a third pain pill refill?

I am now into my third week of pain after the Lupron shot for endometriosis and I started a period this week, and am cramping pretty bad where Advil isn't helping much at all. I have got a couple of refills for each week since my Lupron shot and I don't want him to think I'm pill hopping, but I am really in pain so should I ask for another refill through the pharmacy or should I call the office to tell them what is going on first or should I do anything at all and just be in pain. Is it normal to be in pain after the third week and is it normal to have a period when I should be going into menopause? I am also getting cold sores, and a painful tongue since this shot. Please give me info about how I should proceed. I start school next week and I am worried about being in pain then too.

Update:

I mean faxing a refill request through the pharmacy to my dr. office. That is what I have been doing and they have gone through per the doctor to the pharmacy.

Update 2:

Also I had my dr. appt three weeks ago when I received my lupron shot. Thanks

I think what you're going through is pretty expected given your circumstances. Your "period" is not evidence of hormones working and therefore something strange to happen when you are in chemical menopause. Rather, the bleeding is evidence that you have no hormones anymore to support the uterine lining, so it's shedding. That's causing a lot of pain due to the endometriosis, as I believe is typical. If I were you i'd ask for more painkillers. No need to keep suffering! The bleeding should stop after a short while and then your pain will, too. Good luck!

As for the painful tongue: I wonder if you're getting thrush due to the hormone changes? Does your throat hurt, too? Is there a white film on your tongue? The "cold sores" might be thrush, too. If so, call the doc and tell him--there's something you can gargle with (prescription only) that will fix the thrush.

Pharmacies don't give refills without a prescription.

Time to make a doctor's appt.
