My avatar now looks nothing like the one I picked, but I have no option to change to a different avatar. It will only let me put in a photo. What happened?
1 AnswerPreferences and Settings9 years agoPowerpoint Smart Art transitions question?
This is driving me crazy. I have a Smart Art shape. I want to have each part of it have a separate transition--the slide appears, then one shape. Then I hit "space" and the next shape comes in, then space, then the next shape. I hit "convert to shapes" to make each shape separate. Yet for some reason, when I try to give each a different transition, it still makes the entire Smart Art structure transition all at once rather than one piece at a time. What am I doing wrong? Help!

5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink10 years agoCan I have the metal plate in my forearm removed?
Many years ago I broke my radius and ulna and got a metal plate put in. It doesn't bother me at all but I realize that I can't ever have an MRI while it's there. Before my arm was broken I'd had around 10 MRIs for some problems I had. I worry that one day I'll really need an MRI and be unable to get one because of this metal plate. Should I get this removed? Or is that too much trouble? Or is it not even possible now because it's been in for 10 years and it's too entwined with my arm bone?
4 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoI have had a stye on my upper eyelid for over a month...?
It doesn't look like it's changed at all, nor does it seem to be going away. Should I just continue to wait? I've put warm, moist compresses on it.

I spend too much time on Yahoo! Answers and I want to close my account entirely so I don't go here anymore. But I need to keep my email functioning. Is there any way to block my access to Yahoo! Answers while keeping my regular Yahoo email functioning?

I bought a whole roast chicken (hot) at the supermarket. It says it must be sold by 1/12/2011. So how long can I leave it in the fridge before I have to throw it away? The 13th? The 14th?

I had mononucleosis. Maybe six months later, the elderly person I was had been living with when I got mono getting symptoms of what turned out to be pulmonary fibrosis, with reason for getting it not known. Now I'm wondering if I gave her my mono and that caused the pulmonary fibrosis?

1 AnswerRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoThe paint on my 2002 Honda Accord is wearing off in several spots?
How do I protect the rest of the paint job? I live in California so the sun beats down upon my car all day. First it got some white spots as the undercoat was exposed, and then there was a black coat underneath that. It's two spots on the roof.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy do so many girls and women idolize Scarlett O'Hara?
I think she was an appalling character. She owned slaves, she stole her first two husbands, who she didn't love, from their fiancees, and then treated them terribly. And she tried really hard to take another man from his wife. She really didn't care anything about anyone but herself and her house, and had no moral qualms about any of the things she did. So what's the appeal? And why don't people like Melanie, a woman who showed genuine courage and kindness and selfless dedication?

3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoI've noticed that a friend of mine (age 40) has leukocoria in both eyes?
I'm wondering if it could be a disease that he is not aware of, or whether it's a relatively benign condition that he already knows about. What could cause leukocoria in an adult? He doesn't seem to have any trouble with his vision. He does have some kind of skin disease that makes his skin look scaly but I don't know what that is. I don't want to invade his privacy or seem nosy by asking him what's wrong, but on the other hand, if he has some kind of disease he doesn't know about that he needs to get treated, then I should tell him. So does anyone know if this is something that could be a serious problem?
