I have had a stye on my upper eyelid for over a month...?

It doesn't look like it's changed at all, nor does it seem to be going away. Should I just continue to wait? I've put warm, moist compresses on it.

Hey, Q. Long time, no see. :)

I'm sorry about your eye. I'm just speaking from personal (my hubby's) experience. He had what we thought was a stye that just would not go away (6 weeks?) a while back. It turned out it was a chalazion, and it took antibiotics to resolve the problem. From my understanding, styes do not last as long as your problem has? In fact, he has another one right now, going on about a week. He also works out in the environment like I believe you said your gpa did? Out in a lot of good old West Texas blowing dust. We are expecting he will have to go back to the Ophthalmologist for some antibiotics. Whatever you have, I hope it resolves soon. No fun! God Bless.

A stye is an infection in the root of an eye-lash. If it isn't getting better, then I think you should see a doctor as you may need antibiotics to clear the infection.
