What about Water Dragons (Axolotl) Tank Mates?

An important consideration for tank mates is that the Water Dragons (Axolotls) like cold water 57 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Water Dragons cannot be kept with other fish because fish like to nip at the Water Dragon gills. Also a Water Dragon will eat any thing they can fit in their month including other smaller Water Dragons. However, you do see Water Dragons with small feeder fish; like Rosy Minnows, small Gold Fish and Guppies, but these fish are being used as a live food source for the Water Dragon.

    Axolotl With Fish

Any long-term fish resident is a guaranteed hazard to an axolotl. The nip the axolots gills, and pollute the aquarium. However, I have seen an axolotl eat a young goldfish. Unfortunately, it then proceeded to pass down parasites to the axolotl. Don't worry he ( the axolotl) lived, but it is a risk you take with live food.

What about bottom feeders like kuhli loathes? Would they be OK say both the axolotl and kuhli loaches were fully grown

I've seen it done successfully but i certainly wouldn't recommend it. if the fish are to small they'll almost certainly be eaten and if they're too large they're likely to peck on the axy's gills.
