Is the Clarisonic Mia worth the money?

I'm 16, and I have semi acne prone, combination skin.

I want to invest in the Clarisonic Mia because I've heard people rave on and on about it. I just want a few more opinions.

Also, how often are you supposed to replace the brush heads?

Thanks!

Clarisonic brushes are great but expensive. The sonic technology used in the brushes seems better than simple spinning (but I'm not aware of any scientific evidence to that effect). Going with the Clarisonic Mia 1 will save money and still get you the sonic brush action. You'll just be giving up extras such as a timer to tell remind you when to move on to the next area of your face and multiple speed settings. The Mia 2 gets you an extra speed and the timer. The higher-end Clarisonic brushes get charging cradles and body-brush capabilities.

Here are some less expensive alternatives to the Clarisonics: DDF Revolve, and NutraSonic 1020, Olay Pro-X, DermaNew, and Pretika.

Of those, the Olay Pro-X is a well-regarded low-end brush and a good value at only about $26, but it's a spinning, not a sonic brush.

Clarisonic recommends changing the brush head every 3-4 months.

Oh my, I have a normal clairisonic brush for at home. I love it. I'm 15 going through puberty I love it, it's a great product, I have extremely sensitive skin So I can't use there washes and scrubs. I have another product which can't be found any where, I don't know what's its called my mom buys it for me. I change my brush every 5 months. Then it's not soft and kinda splitting and is yucky, like a tooth brush. I have a Mia too, I use it for traveling because it's small and the charger isn't as big and bulky as a clarisonic pro. I highly recommend investing. I haven't had a Pimple in months! Amd I used to be pizza face. It removes black heads pretty well and fast too as long as you use the right products. If you buy it at sephora they can help u and tell you what products are good and give you all the details.

I think that you should definitely get the Clarisonic Mia! I've had it for a little over a month now and i LOVE it! I use the sensitive brush head, which was recommended to me, and my acne has completely gone away! By how you described your skin, I really think that it will help you!

And you're supposed to replace the brush heads once every three months, or when they get really beat-up/frayed.

I found this answer previously given to a similar question

"You can get the Clarisonic Pro just as cheap if you go to Amazon"

    http://www.amazon.com/Clarisonic-Deluxe-%E2%80%A6

I have the Pro. Its better than the Plus. and the sales consultant at Sak's Fifth Avenue said I have beautiful skin and asked if I'm a model. I used to have severe cystic acne lol. Dont expect overnight results though. Its definitely one of the best investments you can make for your skin. It will last for years.

The Mia doesn't give as good of a cleansing as the classic though. It only has one speed. I would go for at least the Classic. But the Pro is cheaper lol. It has 4 speeds. and you cant buy it in stores. only online since (they are supposed) to only sell it to dermatologists and skincare professionals.

If you have the $120 to spend, I highly reccomend you get it! Ive had treatments done with it and it left my face so new and refreshed! Yes, Olay makes a replica, but Quality or Quantity? I have the Olay at home and its okay. But Mia gives you a complete 100% different result! I reccomend if you have the money and want better skin, get this product! Its a miracle worker!
