What is it that I am comparing here?

1)-5038 Yards

-41 Tds

-16 Ints

-63.5 Comp %

2)-4933 Yards

-29 Tds

-16 Ints

-61 Comp %

Yet somehow number 2 got the vote. Why?

Update:

What exactly more stats should have I put up there when comparing two QB's? If you want me to put in QB rating then

Stafford 97.2 to Manning's 92.9 According to ESPN.com and NFL.com

Anyway's the first answer was spot on.

You are comparing Matt Stafford's and Eli Manning's regular season stats.

The Pro Bowl really means nothing anymore, many great players got snubbed...it's really more of a popularity contest now.

You could also ask why Victor Cruz didn't get in with stats better than most of the WRs who did get voted in. Many "big name" players (Phillip Rivers, BJ Raji, Clay Matthews, etc) who have good reputations but not necessarily the greatest stats this year got voted in just because of their previous successful seasons and popularity throughout the NFL.

What's more incredible to me than this though is how in the hell Tim Tebow got in. 6/22 for 60 yards, an interception, and a rating of 20.6 last week, against the CHIEFS? What a quality QB.
