MY BABY RED SLIDER TURTLE IS SICK!!!! ARE THERE ANY ADVICES?
I bought two baby red sliders turtles almost like two weeks ago and one of them is still healthy, active; but the other one, in one week or so, looked very inactive and sick! It's been almost 2 weeks now and I am very worried! I took the sick one out and put it in another case, warm water and all. But it's not eating and nothing. Just staying on foam and sleeping? I know it's alive though. I sometime try to get it active by putting it in waterbut it swims, expands all fours, and move for a second only and stops and fall asleeps(?) It haven't been eating and is very fragile! the shell is soft and everything! PLEASE HELP!!! I plan to get some water plants if that help......

you didn't get them from a reputable person. i know that for sure because they are babies. it's illegal to sell turtles under 4" straight carapace length. (but it isn't illegal for you to own them in most states.)
here's why it's important for you to understand that the dealer was disreputable. chances are these turtles were not cared for correctly before you got them. many, or most, of these tiny res die within the first year in their new homes, even in the best of conditions there. it's highly likely that one or both of these babies was sick when you got them, even if they didn't look it at the time. it takes weeks or months for many illnesses to manifest themselves. the sickest turtle does sound seriously ill. saving it may be impossible. but a very skilled vet might be able to help. personally, i think you should take it back to the jerk who sold sold it to you and get your money back.

He is still a baby and he is still getting used everything. Make sure you are giving him a variety of food choices like pellets, small millworms or small crickets and fresh fruit and vegetables. I bought a leopard tortoise as one of my first reptiles and within a week he had died. Turns out he had soft shell disease that he got from the pet store and they admitted it and tried to get us to buy another turtle from them..ha. Make sure he has the right light and make sure it is new, just because UV bulbs aren't burnt out, they still might not be doing their job. Also get a calcium bar and calcium powder to sprinkle around on his food if you can get him to eat. If he doesn't get better in the next month or so I would suggest taking him to see a vet or qualified pet store.

I'd take him to, or at least call, a vet.
If at all possible, I'd separate the sick turtle from the healthy one. Keep the sick one warm, and make sure it has plenty of calcium available.
