Firstly you should convert feet into yards.
1 foot = 0.333333 yards
so 729 feet = 0.3333(729) yards = 243 yards
cost therefore = 243 x 0.03 = 7 $ and 29 cent

cost of one yard ( 3 feet) = 0.03
cost of 1 feet = 0.03 / 3
cost of 729 feet = 729 (0.03) / 3
=> 7.29 $

first make both units the same.. once you have done that you should have 729 FEET(unit) of yarn casts $0.01 per FOOT(unit), than all you have to do is multiply 729 ft by $0.01 = $7.29
answer $7.29

use the fact that 3ft are in a yd. do 729/3 to get 243 yd and now multiply that by .03 to get $7.29

3 feet per yard
729feet/(3feet/yard)=243yards
$0.03/yard*243yards= $7.29
