Since your don't list WHICH 23' Bayliner, it would be tough to say for sure. If it's a small Bow Rider, then yes. However, a heavy Cruiser, No. Look on the truck's towing hitch for the capacity. that will give you the "Maximum". hen you need to look up the "Dry Weight" of the boat. add in the fuel weight, trailer weight of at least 1000 pounds, equipment, and then you'll have an idea.

You probably can tow it but you would be right at the trucks' capacity and maybe over when you factor in fuel and gear on board the boat. If your launching in the spring and retrieving in the fall, may not be a problem. If you plan to tow to the water every weekend 40 miles away, may be a problem. Best to get a more accurate weight of the rig to be sure. (PS) Brakes on that size rig is a very good idea no matter what tows it and required by law in some places.

You probably could. As long as the weight of your boat and trailer do not exceed 5860 lbs go for it.

If you plan to launch and pull your boat out of the water at your boat at your boat ramp with a Ranger just remember that the ramp is always wet and slippery. I tow and launch my 20 foot boat with a 2006 Dodge Ram and have still had my tires slip and spin pulling my boat out of the water at the ramp.

I would say that you are at least pushing your max tow weight esp... at a boat ramp with just a Ford Ranger as your tow vehicle.

Make sure you have the truck set up for towing(trans cooler and springs ECT) plus make sure the trailer has brakes on all axles, disk are better.

You will have to drive it a bit different the ranger has a shorter wheel base and the boat can push you around. With out brakes on the trailer you can jack knife the rig in a slippery panic stop.brakes help.

Will probably overwork motor , trans , brakes. Forget about pulling it up a launch ramp . I've seen too many guys with full size 2wd try to pull an 18' out of the water . Only way to go is 4wheel . Unless you want to be the main clown on the boat ramp circus .

well, you'll need to weigh the boat & trailer to be sure, but I bet that rig exceeds the ranger's capacity.

The GVRW is NOT THE TOWING ABILITY.. the GVRW is the TOTAL WEIGHT of vehicle AND toad
