I spilt a tiny drip of green nail polish on my keyboard.?

I wiped it off and the color is not there any more but there is still like, a shiny streak. It's only tiny it's just enough to cover half the control key, but it's driving me insane! Is there any way to get it off? would using a bit of nail polish remover damage it or make it worse?

If it got on the actual letter then it might erase the letter but even if it isn't on the letter you might want to take the safe route and use some wipes like clorox wipes or if you can find some wipes that specifically say for use of keyboards.
