What the hell happened to MSG?
So I'm a Long Island native (Oyster Bay) and I took a 1 month trip to London and Amsterdam. I don't know what happened to MSG. It was on my cable network when I left. I am a MSG fan (Knicks & Rangers) and I hope someone can give me some detail on what has been going on ? Thanks.

They couldn't agree on subscriber fees, so no contract was signed and those channels (MSG and MSG+) were taken away. Sorry bro looks like you got screwed.

I don't know all the details. But apparently Time Warner Cable and MSG couldn't come up with an agreement to air MSG on Time Warner Cable.
I don't think its time Warner Cable's fault. I would blame James Dolan. He like owns MSG, and also cablevision, so the fat bastard has a little monopoly going on and wanted more money to give Time Warner the rights to air MSG.
I could be wrong though, but thats what I thought.
