if you couldn't get your iphone unlocked for whatever reason then a factory unlocking service is your only option. There are many of them and not of them actually work. I've really no experience with jailbroken iDevices, but I know it's completely possible, and relatively easy, to unlock an AT&T iPhone. @Nikolai is completely wrong, AT&T customer support would NEVER help a caller switch their AT&T phone to another carrier. It's against the contract, they likely wouldn't know how to do it, and any right-minded person would know that a company would never help a customer reverse-engineer one of their products to work to a competitor's advantage. Just use the internet.

Sadly I dont think u can unlock a jailbroken iPhone. Heres what u should do, unjailbreak ur iphone, then call AT&T and they will walk u through what u have to do to unlock. Haha thats what I did with my jailbroken iphone 4 but maybe theres a way to do it without unjailbreaking. Good luck ;)
