I'm looking to book a vacation using Hotwire. What if the descripton on the site is not accurate.?

If the site says "beachfront" or "on the beach" or Casino on premises.. and the hotel is across the main road from a public beach, or up the road from the casino.. do I have cause for a refund??

I know the area I'm going to very well... and there are some derelict properties that I would NOT like to get stuck with. But they are not on the beach.

Anyone have any experience with this/?

Your concerns are certainly justified. When dealing with operations like Priceline or Hotwire, you can never be sure that everything is going to end up as advertised. I prefer to deal with Expedia or Travelocity, since they are way more trustworthy. If you want assurance that features etc.are as they seem, their customer service center is top-notch. And if you encounter any problems after you arrive at your destination, all you have to do is phone them and they will make every effort to make things right. I always take their toll-free number whenever I go on a trip that I booked with them, and only had to use it once.
