Is it ok to donate plasma?

If your sick or you were sick about two days ago is it ok to donate plasma or will it get the person recieving get sick?

    Most collection facilities, both volunteer blood and compensated source plasma, require donors with cold/flu-like symptoms to be symptom free for at least 48 hours prior to donation. Please contact the medical director for the plasma center nearest your location for specific eligibility guidelines.

    it's not safe...cos if it was an infection, it could be transmitted

    apart from that, it's not safe for u: ur plasma contains antibodies which are used to fight certain infections...if u donate plasma but apparently haven't completely recovered from ur sickness, you'll reduce your body's antibody concentration and this might get u sick again.
