Barrrio de Santa Cruz is a busy and lively area of Seville.
It's where the good times are...
Get there for night-life, shopping, narrow lanes to explore, and good eating.
It used to be a Jewish enclave. The narrow lanes were made for a reason. It's like a maze. The residents knew their way around. Visitors don't.
Hence anbody coming to make trouble could get lost easily around the narrow lanes and the jewish people could hide or escape.
Now it's the centre of nightlife for Seville and great for music and dance including flamenco performances, great bars and cafes, and loads of fun.
Another good area of Seville for eating and nightlife is Triana, which is the other side of the river over the Triana bridge.
Viva Seville!!
