Can anyone recommend a great portable projector for under $500?
Please recommend projectors with which you have personal experience or know someone who has. I've already done a preliminary google search. Thanks so much!

The ViewSonic PJD5123 Projector is an effective and economical solution for movie viewing and PowerPoint presentations. Projecting from 25' it creates a bright 8' wide image. I connect it to a laptop with Bose Companion 2 Series II computer speakers creating an exceptional audio video experience. I use a Logitech wireless mouse to control presentations. You may need a case for the projector and possibly a longer video cable than the 6' cable provided. I am completely satisfied with the quality and performance of the projector and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

whether this does look a competent pj for the value i could be careful. first of all i'm assuming it is not new so who's acquainted with what share hours are left on the lamp. In some months that $500 pj ought to grow to be $800 in case you ought to substitute the lamp. Secondly, because of the fact the close by selection is in basic terms 1024 X 768 it is not seen a "genuine" HD projector. you ought to have a minimum of 1280 X 720 to get 720p that's genuine HD. it is doubtful you will come across a 720p for $500 or much less even refurbished so which you will ought to make certain no remember if the extra $3 hundred or so is well worth it for genuine HD. i visit make it easier to be conscious of although that my first couple of projectors weren't 720p the two and the super photograph nevertheless regarded surprisingly stable so I doubt you would be disapointed except you're already used to watching 720p or 1080p. weeder
