Why do guys always lie?

How about - Why does everyone lie? Why will every human being on this planet tell a lie?

Human Nature. Protective instincts.

We want to impress others, be envied, be the dominant, feel strong and feel important. Sometimes your own life accomplishments don't quite measure up to what you feel is impressive.

I'm a girl and honestly, I believe the boys who do lie (and not all do- not about big things anyway) is because they want to impress! Now if your boy is lying about seeing other women and getting around well he is a sleeze and there is no point questioning the lies, your better off backhanding the son of a *****. But if he is lying to talk himself up a bit then take a step back and think about all the white lies an exaggerations you have made regarding who you are. You might be surprised, and maybe the question would be reversed to why do you lie?

Both men and women tell lies, sometimes these lies are white lies to stop prevent the other party from getting hurt. Sometimes there are things that are better left unsaid, if you knew the truth and it was going to hurt you. And someone loved you a lot and did not want to see you hurt, would that mean that the lie was bad.

It is all subjective, depending on whatever the lie was about. If the lie was just to impress you then it just shows that this person lacks confidence. And maybe he likes you so much that he will do anything just to impress you, even if it means being untruthful just to be with you.

So in the end how much do you care for this guy, might want to have a heart to heart talk and put the cards on the table to work things out.

Not all guys lie. Some guys think that they must lie to get into a girls pants or to prove himself to his friends. But on the other hand there are guys that are nice and don't lie that much. You need to learn that everybody lies though, I am guessing that you lie every day of your life.

Guys only lie if they are trying to impress a girl for the short term. One night stands spring to mind. If a guy is honest that means he has intentions of being with you longer and having a lasting relationship. Lies will always get out and nothing is more of a turn off than someone who is fake.

A guy always fear about losing a beautiful girl from his hand. So, they try to impress girls like you by telling lies, which is a bad thing they are doing. However, few girls love guy who talk non-sense and flirt. therefore, guys lie.

and women do not lie! think of all the times a woman goes out and buys a sexy outfit just to impress a guy when you normally wears sneakers and jeans.

Just think of all the times when you or your friends lie about having made plans when you are really just holding out for the best party on the weekend.

We all lie, its when you start to get to know someone that you see through it all.

We put up with it just because we want sex or a good night out.

Not all men tell lies just as all women do not tell the truth you must have had some bad experiences but do not give up. A little exaggeration is always permissible in courtship it is a matter of nature just look to the animal kingdom Peacocks and the mating displays

when i'm talking to girl i have a crush on i get tong tied so i end up saying a lie to make me look good in stead of a an idiot in front of the girl of my dreams. i under stand that i could loose her but i guess i just go with what seems to be the best answer at the time. i other girls the guy is just self conscious and doesn't want to look dumb. hope this helped :)

Well, boys lie to make u happy. If u know the truth and u don't like what he said, u will start hating him. He may like you very much that he doesn't want to leave u, and he may lie so u can be happy. For example:

Your dating this boy, and u love him and he loves u back. And when u ask him something like"have u had sex or do u have ur virginity? He will reply, saying "Um...No i haven't" then u would want to have it with him. If he said yes u would be like okay my boyfriend had sex before and not with me, and he will feel bad saying that.

Don't give a judgement,not only boys but girls too lie.The thing is that some lie more and some less,according to the necessity,circumstances.

Yudhishtar too lie on one situation,Saint Abraham(Ibrahim A.S) too lied at an occasion.The reasoning for it is there,that is another thing.

But one thing,if there is no "lie",the "truth"may not have an importance.

If "ugly"doesn't exist,there may be no importance to " beauty ".
