The original birther lawsuit was filed by the left, by an attorney named Phil Berg who supported Hillary Clinton.
Berg contends that it really doesn't matter where Obama was born, because he became an Indonesian citizen.
I have no clue what the truth is about that. We don't need a constitutional crisis.

I think what you're ranting about (i.e. not asking a question) is Obama's birth certificate. Birthers have spent millions of dollars on their ridiculous quest.
Edit: Because Berg supported Hillary does not mean the original request came from "the left." Berg is a well-known "activist" who files absurd lawsuits. He filed a RICO action against Bush, demanded disbarment of several Supreme Court Justices, and was convicted of malpractice and fined $10,000.
