Almost certainly a scam. As has been suggested, access your account by going direct to the Amazon website - do not click on the link in the email!

Don't click on the link. If you want to access your amazon account, do it by your usual method of accessing amazon. Check in your account to see if the message is there too. If it is, follow the one from your account only, not one emailed to you. I have been a buyer on amazon for a few years and have never been asked to verify my details. It sounds like a scam to me.

I am an amazon UK account holder and did not get that email. Never click on any links in an email. Go t Amazon.com and log in - if there are no problems then it was not from Amazon

    Forward that email to stop-spoofing@amazon.com

Phone them and ask if its a scam and not the number attached to that e-mail if there is one. I had the same type of thing from supposedly BT but I called to ask and they told me it was a scam. So I would call Amazons customer service number
