Runescape BAD LAG, help please?

Sir, I have the answer to your question. RuneScape (AKA Jagex) has been doing alot of Jagex scripting in the past few 1-3 months, it has been disrupting the players and bugging the scripts. This be causing LAG. No matter what computer you have, there is always a solution to RuneScape Lag. And thats where I come in!

Step 1- Cookies

Clear all cookies. Before this, save any websites you do not go on often but still use to your favorites. To clear cookies, open internet and go to tools. Click on "Internet Options". Look for "Delete Browsing History". Click that, then a box will appear. You can delete Temporary Internet Files, or you can click ok to get rid of cookies, sites, etc.

Step 2- Extra Programs

To close extra programs, go to the bottom right corner of your screen on the taskbar. There you can look at volume control, your internet connection, and most likely, your virus protection program . Any other programs, such as Itunes, Limewire, and any other program that you don't might be there. Right click on it, and see if it says close. Some of the programs that I have to close are-

-Quicktime

-Itunes

-Limewire

-HP Total Care Advisor

-Adobe Reader

-AIM 6

-Real Player

Step 3- Unwanted Programs

I deleted many, many, programs that I didn't use. If you are going to go to delete the program, do it through the control panel. Go to control panel, programs, and see what you have. Delete any trial offers, Dial up (if you don't use it), and old programs.

Step 4- RuneScape Client

Since Jagex has been really screwing around with the java scripts and such, causing lag in RuneScape, you can always download the RS CLIENT, I GET ABSOLUTELY 0% LAG PLAYING WITH THIS. Go to > Runescape.com > Scroll to the bottom, under the tab 'Community' click 'Downloads'. > Scroll down tell you see 'RS CLIENT' > Select your PC operating device (Windows/Mac). Download, place on desktop, RUN!

Step 5- Lowest Quality (RS)

When you log into RuneScape, and select your world, log in, yadda yadda. Go to your gears on your backpack, console-like thing. Select the big monitor, you'll see a bunch of options right before your eyes. Also a few buttons that display options such as OpenGL, DirectX etc. Click the button that displays 'Software'. After that, click the button that says 'Min', then click the screen setup 'Fixed'.

AND there you have it! No more RuneScape lag, this sure solved mine and alot of other peoples problems, have fun playing!

When you play RuneScape, play it in the lowest graphics. It might look mehh, but it's all worth it. Lags are XP wasters. ;)
