Why does my sister get a MacBook Pro and I don't?
My parents just told my sister that she is getting a MacBook Pro this Friday, and this is soooooo unfair. I am 2 years younger than her, but still, I make a living based off of borrowing my moms extremely slow MacBook that she got quite a while back (2007). Also, we both got iOS devices for Christmas, she got an iPad 2 and I got an iPod touch. But still, it is so unfair, especially since she gets in trouble so much (in september she got suspended), and while she gets B minuses in school, I get straight A's. What should I do to convince my parents that the MacBook should go to me????
As I said before, she does horrible in school, I get A+. I do chores. She sits in bed all day. And she is a spoiled brat.

just tell them exactly what you wrote, but dont give an attitude about it, just let them no its on your mind, and you want to no what you have done to not be rewarded with things, like your sister does. Maybe they dont realize what they are doing. They just think you are happy with what you have, or they think when you are that age, you will get those things too, but since your 2 years younger you get something a little bit smaller.
I have the same thing with my older sisters. I understand how you feel. but i look at it like this,
My sisters may get this cool stuff now, but when its my turn to get mine, theirs will be OUTDATED and lame to have, and mine will be THE "IT" thing to have, more high tec and will be something everyone wants. and have all the latest and greatest things. So when you see your sister getting something you want, just think, yup im going to have something like that too soon, but mines going to be even better. Stay positive, its annoying but you will live through it (:

Don't act like everything revolves around you. Ask your parents! Maybe there is something else that led them to believe your sister deserves the MacBook Pro. Maybe she proved to be more responsible. Just remember that the reason is not that your parents love her more than you! Sit down with your parents and ask them, politely...

Half of us don't have any of that stuff. Quit being a brat and save up for your own Macbook.

because she's older, you'd get it the next time maybe. be happy for her getting macbook instead of envying because she's your sister, not an opponent.
