are Catching Fire and Mockingjay as good as The Hunger Games?

I think they were both just as good in that they told the story well and it was a well done, dark, realistic story.

They were not, however, as emotionally satisfying as the Hunger Games. The story they tell and Katniss' role in it is not the story most readers are itching to hear nor is hers the empowering role everyone wants her to play.

Personally, I think that's the point Suzanne Collins was trying to make with regards to power and rebellion but that doesn't mean I was cheery at the end.

Umm...I don't think so. I liked The Hunger Games better than the other two books. The other two books are repetitive. Almost same story in book 2. I haven't read Mockingjay completely yet, but it is not as interesting as THG.

I like Catching fire more than Mockingjay, but you have to read the whole series. The last one wrapes everything up. You find out if Katniss picks Gale or Peeta and amportantish people die.

The first and third books of the series are the only ones worth reading... But that is just my opinion.
